What AIMED Does
Specialist Supportfor Simulation Environment creation
AIMED provides technical support across the full range of challenges involved in creating simulation-ready environments — from initial data capture through to real-time delivery.
From Source Data to Validated Simulation
AIMED can support the full environment-production lifecycle.
This includes capture planning, LiDAR and photogrammetry, geospatial processing, terrain and road creation, CAD conversion, optimisation, real-time integration, performance testing and validation.
AIMED approaches each stage with the requirements of the wider simulation system in mind.
01
Simulation Environment Production
Specialist hands-on production of terrain, roads, environments and real-time assets designed specifically for simulation.
This is not general 3D work. Simulation-ready assets must meet technical requirements beyond visual appearance. Geometry, coordinate systems, collision, materials, LODs, physics, runtime performance and source-data accuracy all affect whether an environment works correctly within the simulation. Every decision is made with the simulation system in mind.
Project and day rates available that scale for larger projects.
Capabilities
- Terrain and ground surface modelling from survey and geospatial data
- Road networks, junctions and road surface geometry
- LiDAR and photogrammetry data processing and integration
- CAD-derived asset conversion and real-time optimisation
- Urban, rural, off-road and proving-ground environments
- Coordinate system setup and geospatial accuracy
- LOD strategy and runtime performance optimisation
- Materials, textures and visual fidelity for simulation
- Collision, physics and validation
Digital Proving Grounds & Training Environments
AIMED creates synthetic environments for vehicle testing, simulation research and driver training. Support includes recreating real locations from LiDAR and survey data, designing bespoke test layouts, and producing terrain and road surfaces suited to the intended simulation.
- Road networks, junctions and purpose-built test areas.
- Off-road terrain and training environments.
- Visual geometry, collision surfaces and surface material mapping.
- Geospatial alignment and checks against source data.
- Optimisation and integration into real-time simulation systems.
Each environment is developed around what needs to be tested, the available source data and the requirements of the target simulator.
Discuss Your Environment02
Pipeline & Technical Consultancy
Independent specialist advice on the tools, workflows and technical decisions involved in creating simulation environments.
AIMED works independently — not tied to any particular tool vendor or supplier. That means advice is based on what will actually work for your requirements, not what someone is trying to sell you.
Project and day rates available that scale.
Capabilities
- Capture planning and survey data requirements
- Tool and software selection for simulation pipelines
- Workflow design and process architecture
- Feasibility assessment for environment requirements
- Supplier and subcontractor technical evaluation
- Automation and pipeline efficiency opportunities
- Technical requirements definition and documentation
03
Workflow / Pipeline Review
A focused technical review of an existing capture-to-simulation workflow, identifying technical risk, inefficiency and opportunities for improvement.
A structured engagement with a defined scope and a clear output. AIMED reviews your current workflow end-to-end, identifies where things are going wrong or could go better, and delivers a written report with specific, actionable recommendations.
Fixed-price engagements available. Contact AIMED to discuss scope.
Capabilities
- End-to-end workflow mapping and analysis
- Technical risk identification
- Bottleneck and inefficiency analysis
- Tool and process gap assessment
- Written report with prioritised recommendations
Build, Buy or Adapt?
Not every simulation problem needs bespoke software. AIMED helps determine when an established commercial tool already solves the problem, when an existing process should be adapted, and when targeted bespoke development is justified.
USE ESTABLISHED TOOLS WHERE THEY SOLVE THE PROBLEM.
AUTOMATE WHERE AUTOMATION CREATES A REAL ADVANTAGE.
DEVELOP BESPOKE SOLUTIONS ONLY WHERE THEY EARN THEIR KEEP.
Not Sure Which Fits?
Most engagements start with a conversation. Tell AIMED what you're working on and what's not working — the right approach will usually become clear.
